Contest Rules
1. The contest is open to anyone between the age of 14 and 50. Participants must register and pay the entry fee before the contest deadline. No refunds will be given under any circumstances.
2. Participants are required to answer 40 multiple choice questions in 1 hour 30 minutes per round.
3. Qualification criteria vary based on the number of participants. For 700-1000 participants, top 50% move to semi-finals, top 20% of semi-finals advance to final. For 400-600 participants, top 75% move to semi-finals, top 20% of semi-finals advance to final.
4. The main evaluation criterion for the Mathema Contest will be the number of questions answered correctly by each participant. The participant with the higher number of correctly answered questions will be ranked higher in a particular round. In case of a tie, the time taken by participants to answer the questions will be considered, and the participant with the shorter time taken will be placed at a higher ranking.
5. The announcement of winners will be communicated through email to the winners' registered email addresses. The list of winners will also be posted on all official social media handles and the contest website.
6. The winners of the contest will be announced during an Award Ceremony to be held in front of a live audience. This event will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and all attendees will be required to adhere to the event rules and guidelines.
7. Participants are strictly prohibited from engaging in plagiarism or cheating in any form during the contest. Any individual found to be in violation of these rules will be promptly disqualified. Collaborating with others or sharing answers is also not permitted.
8. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner during the contest. Any participant found to be engaging in disruptive behaviour will be immediately disqualified.
